Hey everyone! 🇺🇦
My name is Alona Shevchenko and I am a co-founder of Ukraine DAO, a web3-native community that supports Ukraine and helps Ukrainian people.
Founded on February 21st 2022, UkraineDAO has raised over $7.1 million in its efforts to help Ukraine defend itself against an unprovoked and brutal Russian invasion. Most of the funds have been distributed to an NGO Come Back Alive, Ukraine directly as well as a few other charities. We continue our work, fundraising and raising awareness about the war in Ukraine every day.
I am starting this blog to document the development of Ukraine DAO, as well as the amazing work that my parents are currently doing in Western Ukraine - helping to deliver critically important humanitarian aid from across the border. I am extremely proud of them and plan to use this blog to raise awareness of their work. On the photo above you can see one of their trucks carrying humanitarian aid - all of them have Ukraine DAO logos on them ❤️
