Day 58. Meta History
Meta History & Mini-Ukraine DAO update.
It was a huge honour to represent Ukraine DAO today at a panel discussion on the topic "Role of NFT art in supporting humanitarian effort & the restoration of the cultural heritage of Ukraine" with Alex Bornyakov, the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Dima Buterin and Brittany Kaiser.
Huge thank you to Meta History for inviting me and organising the event, to Denys Holovatyi for hosting it, and to Party.Space for providing a beautiful virtual space for us to hang out. Also incredibly grateful to the Ukrainian government for being so crypto-friendly and engaged with the crypto community (we literally have an official DOGE wallet for donations to the Army, amongst other wallets).
A lot of people are still skeptical about the ability of the Web3/NFT community to create real impact for Ukraine. Ukraine DAO's Ukrainian flag NFT raised over 2258 ETH (about $6.75M at the time) - the funds were distributed to Come Back Alive, Ukraine's official crypto wallet, OutRight Action International and various smaller amounts to charities providing mental health support and rescuing animals. Web3 is doing amazing things for Ukraine, so I'm glad to see the skeptical attitudes changing :)
Please look into Meta History - absolutely amazing project!
Mini-Ukraine DAO update
There has been a lot of work happening within Ukraine DAO and I’ll try to get out an update ASAP - there’s so much to talk about. We’ve also been busy working out our organizational structure - big thank you to Dima Buterin, Dmitry from Power Inside (and their team), Antoine from TwoPlusDAO, Gary from DreamDAO, Antoine from TwoPlusDAO, Aaron from Govrn and all the other amazing people who helped us start to solve the complex puzzle of decentralized organization:)
